German Immersion Weekend

By: Shahin Kaveh

While at Hopkins, I took a couple of German courses to brush up on and improve my German. One of the best things that came out of these courses was this "German Immersion Weekend" thing. They took us to a beautiful resort outside of Baltimore, where people seemed to go to be alone, meditate, repent, etc. We were there for the weekend and did a lot of German stuff with other German learners and real Germans! All in all, it was a great experience. Here is a selection of pictures.

They made us guess whether each piece of chocolate was American, German, or Swiss. I had absolutely no frame of reference, so I decided to take off the blindfold!
